Comments
I enjoyed reading this. Just wondering about your ideas behind the small group/ one-to-one comment. I've been thinking about it a lot lately as I try to lead a small group.
thanks,
Robin
I am hoping to e-mail you ASAP.
Love you
Pam
Thanks for reading the post. I'm grateful for the countless small groups I've been in over the years. Some were Bible study, Sunday School, quilting and even Book Club. I'm not against small groups in general. My comment is really about the increased opportunity of making a genuine impact in sharing Christ or helping someone grow in their faith walk one on one. I think we've come to a time when people don't want to be transparent about themselves in groups (for a lot of reasons) - and we usually mask who we really are by telling what we want people to know. One on one we can be transparent, deeply personal and involved in discipling another believer or being accountable for our own faith. Some of the best mentoring relationships grow out of small groups. There's still a place for groups - but I'll choose an opportunity for one-on-one over a group almost every time.
I'm sure you're a great group leader. And I suspect, you're available to meet one-one-one as members of your small group need you. You're a women of understanding and wisdom - a WISE woman!
Hope all is well!
