Water, Water Everywhere But was it first from Christ in Me?
So interesting that with all the conversation and focus on the approaching Hurricane Irma, God has positioned my Scripture today to be all about WATER!
"The water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." (John 4:14)
I find it comforting that God has gone before me and is always there with the encouragement or direction I need. In this case, I needed redirection.
Yes, a hurricane is coming our way. But God alone knows the time, the strength and the outcome.
Yes, we need to do all we can to prepare. But, prayer needs to be the first thing and the continual thing we do. Who would want to go through this experience without our precious Lord? And, He is just a prayer away!
Yes, if we allow Him, Jesus fills us with a fountain of living water and allows us to let Him live through us. Just as the sea rushes in with the tides (and storms), we need to allow Jesus to fill us daily with the fountain of life. Filled with Him, we can face anything and help others as we face difficult times together.
Oswald Chambers said "It is not a blessing that you pass on, or an experience that you share with others, but a river that continually flows through you."
Regardless of what any of us face today, tomorrow or this weekend, I pray you know Jesus, are filled with his fountain of eternal life and are allowing his life to flow from you onto others around you!
